Who is Archangel Selaphiel


The name Selaphiel means “I have asked God”, “the prayer of God”, or “one who prays to God”. He is known as Saint Selaphiel the Archangel or Saint Sealtiel or Selathiel. Some refer to him as Archangel Zarachiel/


In the apocryphal Christian text The Conflict of Adam and Eve, God has commanded Selaphiel and Suriyel to save Adam and Eve from Satan’s cunning deception.


In Christianity, Selaphiel was considered the angel in Revelation 8:3-4 of the Bible. This angel will be the one to present to God in heaven all the prayers of the people on Earth. In the Book of Revelations, he was described to be holding a golden censer. He came and stood at the altar. The Roman Catholic Church also had Selaphiel as the patron saint of prayer.
